How long is a piece of string? There is an implicate understanding that the answer will be difficult to find – in her typical deadpan manner Ceal Floyer proposes the length of 36 frames of film. A conundrum, since we know standard 35mm photographic film comes as 36 frames. Floyer turns the original problem on its head, giving us a very concrete solution and leaving all questions unanswered.
